The design for this kit is stamped onto muslin fabric using a special ink. The pattern is easily stitched directly over the symbols. No counting is required. The stamped-on pattern washes out with cold water. The final project fits a standard 5" by 7" frame (not included). This is a wonderful kit for beginners.

1776 Sampler
Stamped-On Cross Stitch Kit
In days gone by, young girls stitched samplers to practice and to display their embroidery skills. Today, samplers are being revived as a reminder of the rich heritage of our past. This sampler commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, and the beginning of the struggle for liberty. The simplified flag design in the sampler recalls the American flag of that day.

Finished size: 4 ¾" by 6 ½ " on old-fashioned muslin. Kit includes muslin with stamped-on cross stitch pattern, embroidery hoop, DMC floss, needle, instructions, and color photograph of finished project. Designed by Barbara Bangser for The Posy Collection.
