Counted Cross Stitch Kit
| This bookmark reflects Mr. Jefferson's love of books. The Chinese railing design is taken from the wooden railings along the north and south terraces at Monticello. The design may have been inspired by Thomas Chippendale's pattern book, The Gentleman and Cabinet Maker's Director, which Mr. Jefferson owned. The book quotation is from a letter written by Mr. Jefferson to John Adams dated June 10, 1815. |
Finished size: 11 ½" by 2 ½" on 18 count Charles Craft fabric. Kit includes Charles Craft material, DMC floss, needle, chart, instructions, and color photograph of finished project. Designed by Ceil Humphreys for The Posy Collection.
