Summer at Monticello
Counted Cross Stitch Kit
Depicted in an original watercolor by artist David Hughes, Monticello is described as one of our country’s foremost architectural masterpieces. Located on a mountaintop near Charlottesville, the house commands a view of the rolling Virginia countryside that Jefferson so dearly loved. Monticello was Jefferson’s "essay in architecture," and reflected his passion for "putting up and pulling down." Beginning in 1768, and continuing for nearly 40 years, Jefferson determined virtually every detail of its design, construction and remodeling. From 1767, when at 24 he first wrote down the name "Monticello," until his death in 1826, Monticello was at the center of his thoughts.

Finished size: 7" by 5" on 18 count Charles Craft fabric. Kit includes Charles Craft material, DMC floss, needle, chart, instructions, and color photograph of finished project. Designed by Barbara Bangser for The Posy Collection.
