Counted Cross Stitch Kit
You can always tell a Virginian, but you cannot tell them very much! The anonymous author of this creed has captured the special attitude of being associated with Virginia, by birth, marriage, adoption, or any other means. No one really knows the origin of this composition. Possibly it was inspired by a line from Walt Whitman's poem entitled Longings for Home, published in his 1900 work, Leaves of Grass. "O to be a Virginian, where I grew up!" |
Finished size 8¼" by 4½" on 18 count Charles Craft fabric. Kit includes material, DMC floss, needle, instructions, and color photograph of finished project. Designed by Barbara Bangser for The Posy Collection.
