Michie Tavern has welcomed travelers for more than 200 years. Imagine the coachman's horn announcing your arrival along with other "Strangers," as 18th century visitors were called. You could smell the cooked venison and the tobacco smoke. You could hear the many voices raised in passionate debate over matters both political and personal. Today, the coachman's horn is no longer heard. However, you can still enjoy the same hearty Midday Fare in the Ordinary based on 18th century recipes and offered by servers in period attire.
