Navajo Rugs
Counted Cross Stitch Kit
For 300 years, Navajos have been weaving rugs by hand. Styles have evolved from early simple conservative designs to distinctive regional styles that define the look of Navajo rugs today. Regional styles originated in the 1800s when trading posts on the Navajo reservation began to buy and sell rugs with characteristic local patterns and colors. Today’s rug weavers still produce these unique works of art that can be often be identified by their place of origin.

Finished size: 5" by 10" on 18 count Charles Craft fabric. Kit includes Charles Craft material, DMC floss, needle, chart, instructions, and color photograph of finished project. Designed by Ceil Humphreys for The Posy Collection.
